Build meaningful global skills with Bentley’s Spanish Minor. This flexible minor is an excellent opportunity to enhance language skills, increase cultural knowledge, and prepare to work with Hispanic populations both in the US and abroad. Coursework is tailored to students’ starting level and progresses to advanced study, including topics such as business Spanish, translation, migration, literature, linguistics, and cultural analysis. Students also have opportunities for applied learning through service learning, study abroad, and internships. Designed to complement any major, the Spanish Minor equips students with strong communication skills and cross-cultural competence, which are valuable assets in today’s global, multilingual workforce.
For further information about policies related to minors, see the Program Policies page.
Please Note: Discovering Spanish (MLSP 102) and Continuing Spanish courses (MLSP 201 and MLSP 202) do not need to be taken sequentially, but students must complete these courses in an order that requires an increasing level of proficiency.
